Our switches come in two types, one type opens the transmit and receive pairs (Pins 1 and 3) the other type opens all of the pairs in the cable. (Pins 1 thru 8).
The first type can be used for PoE access points to keep power to the device and supports all 100 MB connections. The second type supports 100 MB and 1 GB, supports phone line and DSL connections.
